2023 Fall Speaker Series: The Hunger Paradox

Over three consecutive Wednesday evenings we will explore the scope of food insecurity in the United States and some possible remedies through gardening.
Night 1 (October 4): Diane Edwards, Event Chair, will speak about the scope of the problem.
Night 2 (October 11): Fr. Jonathon Thomas, co-rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Peoria, Illinois, will speak on their sustainable food program (funded by a UTO grant in 2020).
Night 3: (October 18): Leah Beck and Sue Styer, two master gardeners from Kane Cty. Illinois, will speak about home gardening.
