Mother Mollie Ward (Diocese of Springfield) presented a unique prayer experience during our retreat at DeKoven. This order is designed to celebrate a girl's first menstruation as a gift rather than a curse, something to be celebrated by the girl and important women in her life: mother, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, godmother. Along with the prayers, little gifts are given to the girl as tokens of her place as a woman in the world.

As the seasons of the church change, you will find a prayer, poem, or meditation reflecting the season. During Ordinary Time, there will be a variety of resources for you to share.
Reflections and devotions from ECW Chaplain, Deacon Trilby Murray.

Julian of Norwich (1343 – after 1416) was an English anchorite of the Middle Ages. She wrote the earliest surviving book in the English language written by a woman, Revelations of Divine Love. The most characteristic element of her mystical theology was a daring likening of divine love to motherly love, a theme found in the Biblical prophets.
