Episcopal Church Women is a community of women supporting each other in Christ-centered ministries throughout the Diocese of Chicago.
Episcopal Church Women welcomes all women in every parish, whether your church has a formal organization or that the women gather for service and fellowship informally. Our programs are directed to women's issues and are open to all interested individuals. Participation in the ECW provides opportunities to connect with others in the diocese and share what you have experienced with the members of your church or community.
The Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Chicago provides a place for the women of the diocese to share in sisterhood and grow in their faith. We are part of the region known as Province 5 and we send representatives to the national ECW meeting held every three years in conjunction with the General Convention.

Province 5 ECW Reaching out in our region
Chicago is represented on the board of the Province 5 ECW, which connects us to dioceses across 6 states. Each year the Province 5 ECW holds an annual meeting with speakers and workshops and provides opportunities to meet women from across our region. We share friendships, ideas and our faith as we gather in a different region each year. In 2020, our annual meeting was held by teleconference.
Province V Region
The six-state region of Province V connects the 14 dioceses in the region through building communities, providing networking opportunities and supporting one another in a variety of ministries.

National ECW
Connecting with others across the Episcopal Church
The national organization is made up of leaders from across The Episcopal Church. Representatives from each Province and elected officers form the governing board. The national board hosts the Triennial every three years during General Convention. Women from across The Episcopal Church gather to honor our leaders, attend workshops and meet women from around the world. ECW Chicago sends three delegates to Triennial. Non-delegates are welcome to attend.
